The 3rd Annual
Sacramento Black Book Fair (SBBF) is sponsored by The Black Group. The Fair is an offshoot of Blue
Nile Press a Sacramento Publisher of Black Books. This historic event will take
place from June 3-5, 2016, in historic Oak Park, at eight different venues:
underground books, Brick house Art Gallery, Guild Theater, Sacramento Food
Bank, Women’s Civic Improvement Club/Center, the historic Alpha Kappa Sorority
house, McClatchy Park, and University
of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
It will bring writers, publishers, readers, children’s area, a
community parade and vendors from Sacramento, the state, the country, and the
international community, to a celebration of reading and writing, right here in
River City.
The event headquarters
and check-in site will be housed at the historic Women’s Civic Improvement
Club/ Center (WCIC), 3555 3rd Ave., Sacramento, CA 95817. SBBF is free and open
to the general public.
