The mission of the Congress of African Peoples (CAP) is to promote dialogue among African-descended individuals and organizations in the Sacramento Valley by sharing perspectives, visions, hopes, expectations, disappointments, plans, and ongoing work.

The purpose of the Congress is to provide a space, which African/Black people from all over the area can share and connect with each other. What comes out of that space is up to the initiatives of the participants.
